I recently went on this amazing trek that took us through a local village and sprawling rice fields. It was a crash course in crops, farming, and the vibrant culture of the area. Filan, our guide, is so kind and friendly! His English is very good and he knows a lot. He's just started this trail and you can tell he's all in, eager to share his culture with us.
Let's talk about the food - Filan's fiancée made us a very nice and tasteful lunch. She showed us how to make tempe. And as if that wasn't enough, when we got back from our walk, a tasty snack awaited us.
The people in the village? So friendly. Their warmth and hospitality were off the charts. We even got to seek shelter from a sudden rain shower at the home of a kind old lady.
All in all, this afternoon was pure magic. I can't recommend it enough. If you're up for a genuine dive into local life, a crash course in agriculture, and a taste of real Indonesian culture, this is it!
Thank you Filan! (You can just text him, if you want to do this trek)
